An artist first, a visionary always – Lakshmi is a state-level award-winning artist, with her work recognized internationally—including by the Dubai Government. After a successful career as an art director at award-winning ad agencies, she returned to her roots and her brushes, founding Bujjis to bring Indian art out of the gallery and into everyday life.
What started as a passion project quickly grew into a vision: a whole ecosystem of usable, wearable art—from jewellery to clothing, to decor, to heirlooms you can pass down.
She’s not just honouring tradition—she’s reimagining it.
From Lakshmi’s Sketchbook
Bujjis started on paper—literally. Lakshmi’s original idea sketches, some inspired by temple murals and old heirlooms, are still preserved in her worn-out sketchbooks. Today, those same designs live on as pendants and earrings that you can actually wear.
